What Trash Mortar Diverter does:
- Its V-shaped design stops, holds, and encapsulates trash mortar.
- Its V-shaped design funnels moisture to the center and bottom of cavity and weep systems.
- Trash mortar is caught before it plugs the weeps.
- It can be used in cavities with 1.5" to 3" air space.
- It’s easy to install — lightweight, but not fluffy, 4' pieces slide right in.
- Recycled material is inexpensive, readily available and provides a positive environmental impact.
- Prevents mortar bridging.
How to install Trash Mortar Diverter*
- Insert Trash Mortar Diverter™ into cavity with “V” pointed in downward position with short edge to the weather.
- Place Trash Mortar Diverter™ in a “checkerboard”, “stair step” or Architect/Engineer-recommended pattern.

Trash Mortar Diverter Specifications
0.024" (0.6mm) thick high impact polystyrene strip formed with 3/16" (4.8mm) deep corrugations and bent into V-shape with 8.5" (229 mm) back leg and 5.5" (127 mm) front leg; weep holes at 2.5" (64 mm) on center in bottom of "V" and 1" (25.4 mm) up each leg.
